M5-COM Power and Communication Controller Panel

The Avigilon™ Access Control Manager (ACM)™ system supports open field hardware from Mercury Security allowing organizations to leverage investments in non-proprietary field hardware, with retrofit programs available for industry standard multi-device interface panels, power and communication controller boards, and intelligent controllers

The AC-MER-M5-COM (Mercury M5-COM) is a Mercury device for replacement of the Casi Power and Communications controller board. The AC-MER-M5-COM is built with a matching form factor to the Casi Micro5 line of access control hardware allowing a fast “screwdriverless” change over and easy migration of a Casi client infrastructure to the Avigilon Access Control Manager system.

While the Casi Power/Communications board is required in each Casi enclosure, this is not the case with the AC-MER-M5-COM. The AC-MER-M5- COM provides RS485 communications to support other downstream Mercury bridged M5 enclosures. Each downstream bridged enclosure needs only an AC-MER-M5-COM for complete Mercury functionality (up to eight AC-MERM5-COM panels can be supported by one AC-MER-M5-IC

The AC-MER-M5-COM and the Access Control Manager system are integral components in the Mercury M5 Bridge family approach to cost effectively migrate Micro5 hardware legacy to the flexible, feature rich Mercury access hardware. This provides customers an open platform future based on Authentic Mercury controllers
