EET Group acquires Portuguese security distributor NAUTA

EET Group is pleased to announce its third strategic acquisition in 2023 as the company has signed an agreement to acquire NAUTA Soluções de Segurança, a specialised distributor of surveillance & security hardware and software products and network components in Portugal.
The acquisition of NAUTA will further strengthen and accelerate growth in the Iberian region and represents the next step in EET’s expansion plans, positioning EET for further growth in an important and lucrative market.
NAUTA is headquartered in Aveiro with offices in Gaia and Lisbon and since its foundation in 1992, the company has delivered solid, profitable results and grown to a leading specialist in the security industry. NAUTA carries a series of leading technology brands including the exclusive security-, energy- and operations software COSMO. NAUTA applies a true value add approach, offering customers e.g., project configuration and training. These products and services will be seamlessly integrated into EET's existing offering, enhancing the ability to meet the evolving needs of customers across Europe.
NAUTA will be fully implemented in EET’s unique operating model and technology platform and EET plans to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for all stakeholders, drawing on prior learnings and practices from numerous successful acquisitions during the past years.
By combining the expertise of EET's current employees in Portugal with NAUTA’s skilled team of 35 employees, the merged organization will offer comprehensive capabilities and a portfolio of strong brands to their vast customer base. This collaboration will significantly enhance EET’s position in Portugal and provide NAUTA’s existing customer base with a much stronger offering. Carlos Dias, the founder of NAUTA, is appointed Managing Director for the combined business and new and stronger EET Portugal.

The acquisition of NAUTA is the latest in a series of strategic actions by EET, focusing on both organic growth and on selected acquisitions, to expand its business and position itself for long-term growth. From initial contact and until closing IBSC M&A acted as advisor for EET.
NAUTA is EET Group’s 31st acquisition since 2015 and the third in 2023, following the Belgium distributor Tridis in April and Pan-European Distributor Convena which was acquired in May.
