Nylon works well for printing objects like gears, nuts, s, hinges and other functional parts. Carbon Fiber Nylon fi laments tend to be very abrasive when extruded. Be sure to upgrade to a wear resistant steel nozzle in order to print this fi lament effectively. 0.5 mm or larger nozzle is recommended to prevent carbon fi ber clogging. Please note that nylon fi lament is extremely sensitive to moisture and need to be stored in a dry environment, only to be opened immediately before printing. After printing, it is highly recommended to store the nylon fi lament in a dry environment and use silica gel, re-sealable bag, vacuum, andor elevated temperature for best storage.
