4U Rack Mount Tape Enclosure

The new IBM 1 U Rack Mount, 4 U Rack Mount, Half-High (HH), and Full-High (FH) Tape Enclosures offer a cost effective solution for adding external tape drives to IBM tower or rack-optimized System x servers. These tape enclosures support one or more tape drives. The 4 U tape enclosure will support four full-high or six half-high tape drives. The 1 U tape enclosure will support two half-high tape drives. The 1 U and 4 U tape enclosure can be shared between multiple servers.

The HH and FH tape enclosures are reliable products which provide customer flexibility to meet growing back-up storage requirements in a tabletop configuration. The HH and FH tape enclosures support a single tape drive.
